About
“Layers of Life” describes Ann’s artistic experiences and interest. She was born on a farm in Missouri, attended schools in Wichita, Kansas, worked as licensed realtor in California and now enjoys retirement with her husband, Joel, in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Her artistic style has developed out of her explorations in oil, acrylic, watercolor and palette knife media. Her collage techniques illustrate her latest “layer” of creativity. Examples of her artistry are on exhibit at the Arkansas Craft Gallery in Mountain View. She has exhibited art in galleries across Arkansas and her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States.
“Art to me is a necessary expression of the creativity that God has given us. Whether it is a landscape, still life, or floral, each of my paintings contains the passion for color and energy that I feel. My art is my very own style, and I’m most satisfied when I reach a ‘layer’ I’ve never seen before,” says Ann.
As a member of the Mountain View Art Guild, the Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour, Mid-Southern Watercolorist Society, and the Arkansas Craft Guild, Ann likes to feel that she inspires as much as she, herself, is inspired.
